DWA publishes four journals in German language and every two years a special issue in English
- KA Korrespondenz Abwasser, Abfall (monthly) - KW Korrespondenz Wasserwirtschaft (monthly) - KA Betriebs-Info (four times a year) - KW Gewässer-Info (three times a year) - KA International Special Edition (biennially)
In these journals all technical, scientific, legal and economic aspects of the work fields of DWA are displayed.
KA Korrespondenz Abwasser, Abfall
KA Korrespondenz Abwasser, Abfall is published monthly and is the official journal of the DWA and the organisation Güteschutz Kanalbau e.V. The editorial emphasis is on drainage systems, digitalization, the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater and the disposal and recycling of residual products, such as sludge, screenings and contents of grease separators. Members can find complete issues of KA Korrespondenz Abwasser, Abfall in the members’ area of the DWA website.
KA-Betriebs-Info (see below) is published four times a year. It is a supplement to KA and contains information especially for operating personnel at wastewater plants.
From practitioners - for practitioners: The quarterly KA Betriebs-Info provides information for the operating personnel of wastewater treatment plants. The magazine is published by the GFA in cooperation with the DWA, the Austrian Water and Waste Management Association (ÖWAV) and the Association of Swiss Wastewater and Water Protection Experts (VSA).
Four times a year, the KA Betriebs-Info is enclosed with the KA Korrespondenz Abwasser, Abfall and is also sent directly to the operating personnel at wastewater treatment plants and in sewer operations.
KW Korrespondenz Wasserwirtschaft is the organ of the DWA for general water management issues: hydrology, water resources management, digitalization, surface water and soil, hydraulic engineering, hydro power, surface water ecology, ground water, hydromechanics and flood protection. Added to this are cross-cutting issues such as law, economics, education and international cooperation. In addition to detailed technical papers, it provides comprehensive information “from the sector”: updates on the work of the DWA and its committees, news from the fields of science and practice, and bulletins - everything that’s important for water scientists: names and heads, legal cases, dissertations, books and other media, events.
Every two years, the German Association for Water Management, Wastewater an Waste (DWA) publishes an International Special Edition of KA Korrespondenz Abwasser, Abfall.
